Birth Injuries

There are few events that are more horrific than the birth of a child with brain damage.

It is a life changing experience that a family will live with forever.

There are a number of types and causes of birth injuries.
One cause is doctor, nurse, or hospital negligence.

Here are some examples of doctor, nurse or
hospital negligence:

  • Oxygen deprivation to the brain due to twisting or compression of  the umbilical cord, because of improper monitoring during labor
  • Underestimation of a child's weight
  • Application of excessive force during delivery
  • A delayed C-section

A birth injury is reported to happen in 27 out of 1,000 live births. It may result in cerebral palsy, broken bones, shoulder injuries, nerve damage and lacerations.

Don't go on wondering whether your child's injuries were caused by the negligence of his healthcare provider
